A few years ago, my son made a "measurement man" that I kept in the kitchen:

(Teaspoons/tablespoons/ounces I already had memorized, so this worked for me.)

Oh, Bekah, this is Apartment Therapy, where many people aren't happy if they're not finding fault with someone else.

For those without a GPS, letterboxing is also an option.

Meh. Whether I read a book on my iPhone or on paper, I'm still reading. I do think it's cute that some people think just standing around is somehow preferable to that, but sorry, kids, it doesn't make you somehow superior. I enjoy noticing the world when I'm out for a walk, but noticing the chewing gum at the store, or the interior of the elevator? If you've seen it once ... Not that desperate for entertainment.

I think this is a fantastic idea. I'm in the same boat as onebravegirl in that I haven't got wall space for it (plus I'm in a rental), but it's definitely a great option if you've got the available wall.

When our landlords come back to the US next summer, we'll be facing deciding whether to stay in the area or decide where the next adventure is going to be. I like this area, so I would consider a short-distance move worth it.

It's not a mistake if the TV owner is happy with its location.

And wow, it looks like it actually took a little while for the smug "I don't have a TV" comments to pop up.

The pictures are impressive, but I just keep coming back to the waste. (And no, I probably wouldn't stay, just because, as you say, it'd be pretty sticky pretty quickly.) But as far as craftsmanship goes, I'm impressed.

Both of my boys LOVED our play kitchen (my 5 year old still does). Definitely not a gender-specific toy.

Okay, first of all, I have dibs on that craftsman house with porch.

My house now wouldn't fit most AT folks' ideas of a small house, but we did downsize 1000 square feet when we moved, and probably could have gone smaller if we didn't have kids. I've been sorting through things and we're looking forward to having a garage sale in the spring.

It's funny, I've been to a few large houses since we moved, and I always come home from those places ready to look for other things to get rid of. Not sure what that's about, but if it makes it easier to keep downsizing, I'm all for it!

@Herzleid, for a while, it was very trendy for some commenters here to absolutely revile vegetarians or vegans. Since elicenter isn't providing any actual information, I think it's safe to assume that he/she is a holdover from those times.

Amen, toastercat. At least if we're going to get health-related articles, it'd be nice if they were accurate.

I have weeks where I don't get to the gym as often as usual, and I can tell it's harder when I go back after a few days off. Everyone's body is different.

Amy, my 5 year old LOVES the child care area at the gym, so I have days where I'm going because he wants to go there and play. In my case, having kids actually gets me to the gym more often. :)

That's really clever. I wouldn't do it with kids, because you just know the cases will get bumped and scatter Legos all over the place, but for adults, it's a really good idea.
