I believe that's the Aiden 3 shelf from Cost Plus/World Market for the changing area. I've got my eye on it for my new tv stand.

On a side note, I didn't realize so many people worked at home? What exactly do you all do? I get all twitterpated at the thought of working from home. But I guess maybe a separate post on what everyone does working from home wouldn't be AT friendly, seeing how much flack this post is garnering.

I would love to look like a laid-back French person while at home, however it's usually a cross between sweats and some sort of athletic wear. I don't like doing tons of laundry so I try to pick outfits that will go from walking the dog 3 miles to the grocery store to watching tv. I should try harder, haha.

@Poodle Mom Haha, I am going to have to remember that when I shop for a new (or new to me) couch soon! I'm sure there is dog hair in my purse. I have a Yellow Lab who sheds more than any animal I have ever come in contact with, and I grew up on a farm!

I need a fan, even in the winter. I also can't sleep without some type of a sheet or blanket at least covering a bit of me. My feet always have to be out. On occasion I sleep with a stuffed dog I got for my 7th birthday (I'm 28!) I can sleep without these things, but a truly good sleep has all of it!

Funny, I won that exact cow stuffed animal out of a claw machine last year. haha

I am also considering the same thing. My original idea was to do the command hook thing. However, I was at Wal-Mart the other day and they have curtain rods that twist to fit, rather than using anything that would make holes. I am going to buy one and give it a try!

I have the EXACT same lamp in the first picture! I got it on the last day of an estate sale for $15!

My bathroom is almost identical, down to the design inside the shower! We lucked out and have pink and gray instead of the green. The original tiled vanity is still there as well. Much to my vintage dismay, we're going to rip everything out. I would love to leave it if it were our "forever" house, but resale value will increase if we update! Like you, we don't have budget to do that right now, so we just bought complimentary accessories and are living with it until we have the money for the renovation!

If you're speaking of the ceiling itself... We had a pretty bad plaster job on one of our ceilings. Rather than mess with scraping it off, we had our drywall guy essentially put up a wooden slat buffer and hang another piece of drywall under that, which he then finished. It lowered the ceiling around an inch, but it was done in a day and not messy at all.

I love the before and afters! What a change! Where did the light above your dining room table come from? I am looking for something like that for our dining room!
