We have the Kivik three seater couch with chase attachement. I also have it in the Teno light gray, which is scratchy. We have had it for about a year and I don't find it any less scratchy. I love the shape and feel of the couch, but wish I was more comfortable with bare skin in shorts and tanks (as we so often are in Houston, even in winter). I tend to put a blanket or sheet down when I'm sitting there for extended periods. We have a cat who thinks the texture is very much like a scratching post and treats it accordingly. She doesn't do it too often. Most of the time I can pull the threads back into place, but I can see replacing the cover in the next year. And just fyi, my hairy bf doesn't seem to mind the fabric at all, so maybe it's a girl thing. Reviews of IKEA Kivik, Carlstad & Poang? Good Questions |

we love our kivik. We looked at couches all over crate & barrel, west elm, etc. I really wanted to stay away from ikea but we like it best. It's the most comfortable, easy to clean, versatile (in that you can change the "L" from one side to the other) modern couch we could find. Are Pottery Barn Sofas Worth the Money? Good Questions |
