i like seeing the interesting choices people make. Reminds me of the Hornby Island dump or freestore (as the hippies called it). There's so much STUFF out there, you can always find something you need on the street.

Kids don't need all those toys etc that fill up our homes. I'll be paring down this year....get rid of some toys.

My son's favourite 'toys' are whatever he grabs out of the recycling bin anyways!! Right now he loves the big cardboard box his carseat came in.

Birthday parties every 5 years make the other 4 celebrations a more relaxing family time.

don't go to the nursery....now's a good time to take cuttings before they die for the winter and without feeling guilty about helping yourself. I have 1/2 a dozen varieties rooting in a glass of water that i'll turn into houseplants this winter, and then put outside in this cool planter next spring.

I love the banana holder. totally ridiculous at first glance but really useful to throw in a backpack or purse. i use it everyday, my baby's favorite food is banana. i feed it to him when we're out on the go.

Wipes warmer wasn't necessary for him last winter, I used wet cloths. No newborn likes getting their diaper changed and a few seconds of minor discomfort is not the end of the world...i guess a bruised banana isn't either....

if I didn't already have the banana holder I might not buy it after reading this. We all should really think about all the useless stuff we buy.
