I love overnight oats - there are so many great flavor combinations that you can create - my favorite is to add pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice...what a great breakfast!

I never thought to try steel cut oats, I usually use rolled oats. Definitely going to try this!

How fun!

I got married last October and was determined to make my own wedding cake - or have a cake table with many old fashioned layered cakes. Our wedding was fairly small and laid-back, vintage inspired, so I thought I could handle it with no problem - I've made many cakes!

But two weeks before the wedding when all of the details were coming together I freaked out and found someone to make it for us! I'm glad I did, it was just too much pressure. But I would totally make one for a friend =)

We are receiving a supply of tomatoes from our neighbor's garden - it's fantastic! I'm eating them whole, just like apples, with a sprinkle of salt - the best way!

I thank my neighbors by making them cupcakes!

I'm eating this curried tuna salad - I originally found the recipe on allrecipes.com - I like to make a batch at the beginning of the week and eat it for lunch two times during the week. It's so good (even though you may not think it sounds that good!) try it!

These are really cute, I love dressing up homemade canned goods. Especially making them holiday themed to give as small gifts around christmas!

Last Sept. and Oct. my husband and I spent every weekend canning little jars of homemade apple butter to give as favors at our wedding. We added some cloth that went along with the wedding colors, ribbon, and cute little vintage tags (that also played off of our wedding theme) - they were perfect =)

We are looking forward to making more applebutter this fall...just no so much this time!

I love love the combo of peanut butter and banana. While I LOVE icecream you must try this peanut butter banana softserve - it is completely healthy (yes 100%) and the exact consistency of softserve icecream!

3 ingredients: 1 frozen banana, 1 tbsp PB, splash of milk

This pretty much replaces icecream for me!

I do love how many things you can make with just a can of beans. Last night I had something very similar, minus the fresh cilantro (sad) because we hadn't gone to the store this week and were running low - beans to the rescue, seriously!

I love making things on Sunday that can last the whole week. If I make one thing on Sunday that can give me 2-3 lunches during the week I am a happy camper! The other 2-3 days I simply eat leftovers and possibly grab a quick and cheap lunch with a coworker for 1 day. Great tips!

This is a great trick! I've made eggs in the microwave a couple of times before and they have always turned out well - I forgot about it thought and it would definitely come in handy for some good office lunches! Thanks =)

I use the heel when making a sandwich but I always eat it with some sort of spread - peanut butter, jam, or hummus! That's what really crusty bread is good for!

I love greek yogurt - I just started eating it this summer and now I'm hooked! I like the fact that you can use coffee filters and regular yogurt, we always have those around. I'm going to try this tonight - it will be much cheaper this way too!
