The Kitchn has become my go-to reading on crowded trains during my commute. My phone is so much easier to maneuver when personal space is at a real premium. As an added bonus on more than one occasion I've made something for dinner that night that I just discovered on the way home!

Thanks for fixing the Nutella Recipe. I'm going to try it out this weekend and maybe add some cocoa. I also love the idea of mango and strawberry variations.

Can you go over how to substitute different types of flours in recipes? I know the difference between cake and all-purpose but what about whole-wheat or gluten-free for other people. Is there even a good go-to method for that type of substitution or should I be looking for new recipes?

I have a cheapo wood cutting board I used as a trivet for years and it still works just fine. For quite awhile it was my only "trivet" so it came into contact with quite a lot of hot pans.

We use ours for a variety of meals but the pizza pie, with pizza sauce, mozz, and pepperoni is definitely a favorite. Other favorites include egg with ham and cheese, fruit pie filling, and peanut butter and banana.

Pasties are big in the UP. This takes me back to long ski vacations at the Porcupine Mtns. They look delicious. I should introduce these to my household.

I love this idea. We used to do a chili souper bowl cook off on Super bowl Sunday but it died out somehow. I like the idea of having the soup be the main attraction and leaving football for its own special day.
