What a great recipe idea! I never know what to do with all my sage by August or September! I'm going to try this tonight on grilled chicken! I'm also going to double the batch and freeze the extra in ice cube containers and then into zip lock bags. Should be wonderful around the holidays on turkey! Thanks for the idea! Recipe: D.I.Y. Great ideas. I like to also keep frozen shrimp (shrimp scampi) or lots of other pasta combos. Also canned clams for clams linguine, at least a easy version of it! Thanks for the great tip. I will try these. My Grandmother made wonderful pie crust from scratch as did my Mother in Law. I would love to but just don't have the time. Don't sweat the small stuff...it's all small stuff. Somehow family seems to just be hardwired to sometimes cause each other stress! I try to have the house fairly clean and inviting,clean sheets on their bed, flowers in their room etc. I try to have at least half of the food prepared ahead. That lets me relax alot more and enjoy the visit. AND with all of that advise I need to go put some into practice as my brother and sister in law arrive this afternoon for the holiday week end. I can't keep anything alive if it is not in a planter with a drainage hole. It is just to easy to have the roots rot out. Probably plant a succulent garden as you can water it very judiciously . I grew up on a farm in North Dakota and my mother raised chickens. For the eggs, to sell the eggs and for the Sunday Chicken dinners. She would put four chickens in a large roaster, pour fresh cream over them and bake. Luscious gravy!!! But, I digress. Just recently our food coop has been offering beautiful, irregular,and very delicious organic eggs. I am thrilled. I love this validation!! I have no window coverings on my living room and dining room windows that have a fantastic view of the Mississippi River and the bluffs of Minnesota. My mother in law has tryed for years to get me to cover them up. I also love that corner window with the recliner. Would love to sit there and read a book.
