Hello Apartment Therapy readers, Namaste! We urge you to read the following as we had a recent comment which gave us a great opportunity to boast about our beautiful product and its labor-intensive process.

@sealbeachy: Our price point is very competitive, the lowest in the market for the quality we offer. Unlike Frette, our products are completely hand made, not mass-produced, machine-made products.

A few key differences:

a) Each of our duvet covers is hand block printed, not digital, screen, or machine printed

b) We use 100% natural vegetable dyes, which requires manual steaming, boiling, washing, and sun-drying 10-15 times; a substantial labor process. By doing this, we are promoting a truly green product and supporting an ancient dying art of "Kalamkari", which supports rural artisan communities.

c) We use 100% ORGANIC cotton (NOT egyptian cotton), making our product the greenest product available in the entire market

d) with Frette, you will pay the same or more for a non-organic cotton duvet, which is not hand printed and definitely not made with 100% natural vegetable dyes.

Btw, if Frette were to offer the same quality product we are offering, they would charge you over $4000 for 1 Duvet cover set. Of the course, they could and they would because they are "Frette."

The only question is then, could they offer beautiful designs such as "Belize/Chauras," the one inspired by my childhood doodles? :)

Well, as for the enquiry on buying "Shilpa Rathi" bed-linens:
We have received many enquiries in just past 2 days from all around the world & different places in US. (Hearty thanks to Apt. Therapy!)
We currently are selling to the wholesale. But with such a great response from admirers like yourself, we are already working on a solution to make "Shilpa Rathi" products easily available to the end-consumers, not just the wholesale. Although, it might take few weeks, you will definitely hear from us soon.

Kevin... You rock! This is fantabulous...love it, love it, LOVE it! :) I stumbled upon this link while I was looking for where to get the branches from! I need some nice branch/es for one of my project. Could you tell me where can I find the branches? Havn't seen any in my neighborhood :( I called urban forestry dept & have left a message. Hopefully I can find some. But your chandelier totally made my day :)
