we've done silhouettes, photo books, etc... running out of ideas. finally i decided to make them a mini-quilt with each grandchild's birth flower embroidered on a square.

My oldest daughter is named for a character from my favorite children's book series - the Betsy-Tacy books by Maud Hart Lovelace.

My family (2 adults, three children) lives in about 1450 square feet. At times it feels very small for us, other times I think it's just about right. When our kids are older, I think it would be nice to have more space.

We actually put a child lock on the master bath door and continue to use that as "our" bathroom. The girls use the bathroom at the front of the house because there is a tub in there and the sink is lower.

we live in a "split-floorplan" three bedroom and about a year ago we gave the master bedroom to our two oldest girls - about the time i realized that they had more stuff in our room than we did. just two weeks ago, we took it one step further. now we sleep in the smallest bedroom at the front of the house, the girls sleep in the next smallest right next to us, and the master at the back of the house (which is huge) has become a playroom/office/sewing space. it seems like such a better use of our space.
