We own the full sized overlapping squares headboard and bed frame in chocolate from West Elm. It's our son's bed and we paid something like $550 for it including shipping, almost three years ago. I was a little hesistant about buying a bed from West Elm since I'd read some bad reviews about their furniture quality but I have to say I'm converted, at least on the bed we purchased. It's very sturdy and looks as good as new three years on.

Thanks so much for all your excellent information! I am not bothered by dust. We have very dark wood floors and the swiffer has sadly become my best friend, and with two young kids I'm forever cleaning whatever chairs they sit on anyway. A bunch of scraches don't bother me either (it's those two young kids with toy cars on our dark wood floors again!). It's more that they aren't so cheap that I won't be bothered if they look like junk after a few months. They are made of polycarbonate. There are knock offs out their made of acrylic which I think you can sand scratches out of. Hmmmm...

Sources for pillows on the bed please. I love them!

We use a duvet inside a duvet cover. When my son first moved into his full size bed at aged 2 he slept on top of the duvet, covered in his little blankets and gradually decided to get under his covers after a few months. If his duvet cover gets dirty in the middle of the night we have plenty of others from our adult beds which we can use at a pinch. I find duvet covers just much easier to wash frequently than quilts.
