Oh, Lord! I feel your pain! I have lived in my studio for almost 2 years. Perhaps mine is slightly more touchy compared to yours but either way they suck (pardon my french). I recently had an incident in which I out a casserole in the oven at 150 F. I went, literally, down the street to grab a bag of potatoes and when I got home the apartment was so full of smoke that if I extended my hand in front of my face I couldn't see it. Love the idea. It would be absolutely ideal in my situation as a newlywed, grad student, thesis writing, bar tending workaholic.
