A bed made from galvanized pipes was featured in either Country Living or Country Decorating magazine a few years back. Instead of boards for the base, it used more pipes. I used a similar idea to create a work desk when I was a student - two night stands I picked up on the trash day and a door I found at a building site. I still use the desk in my studio. Green Style: Old Nightstand Turned Super Cool Desk | Apartment Therapy Re-Nest |

Still, a brilliant way to recycle old light bulbs. I used to recycle burned out light bulbs into Christmas tree ornaments. Just cover with a fabric remnant and tie on with a ribbon.
