I like the mantel next to the bed. It is very Deco looking.

I once read a article about a couple trying to hide their motor home in their fenced in yard. They had the same height restrictions on fences. They attached planter boxes on the back side of the fence, near the top. Then they planted fast growing bushes in the planters. The bushes gave them the extra height that they needed to help block the view of their RV.

@Charlotte: The small Aga is called a Companion and is a regular stove. As you suggested, it does not stay warm all of the time like a bigger Aga would.

You can buy for about five dollars, a sprayer that will replace aerator on your faucet. No tools are required to make the change. Your local hardware store should have the sprayers.

Yes they sell one liter boxes of milk in France. Most Americans would not buy milk if it was not cold.
I would miss not having an ice maker, but serving ice in drinks is an American thing too.

The blender jar is not permanent. If you are not using the blender, the jar can be stored elsewhere. The base is then flush with the counter top. There were other attachments, like a mixer, that could use the same base.
