This is a little over sold. It has a nice creamy texture, but it just tastes like frozen, blended banana. It's good, but not the amazing-oh-my-god, "ice cream" it has been billed as.

Amazing place, and great outdoor space! Great job Tyler. You've done well in creating a clean, comfortable environment that is artful, interesting and not overly trendy. I could take a couple pointers from you. ;)

A good palette cleanser and nice accompaniment might be a slightly acidic black tea. Like PG Tips or Lipton, unsweetened and not to hot to re-set the taste buds and wash away the cloying sweetness of the cake. Or coffee which is often used to clean the palette when trying out different perfumes.

The best thing to do is to find two or three cocktails that share main ingredients. Gin is the best because that was an early century favorite, everyone likes Gin and Tonics and you can get a handle for cheap. Be warned that many of these cocktails are savory (negroni for example and those with campari are down right bitter and stay on your palate). Absinthe would be fun and a bottle will make TONS of drinks (proper proportions vary with brand and taste, but the rule of thumb is one part absinthe to five parts water)- if you like Ouzo or anise you'll like it.

I think pavers (to my knowledge broken pieces of cement are the cheapest) with a ground cover planted in the cracks (baby tears or a low light moss will add color, soften the look and keep toes and toys out of the cracks as the pavers shift). A container garden would be a nice way to add color and depth without all the space needed for actual planters.

Puro-Caff.

It's espresso machine detergent and will get out old and set-in smells and stains. You can get it on Amazon. I've worked in so many coffee shops and this stuff is great. Soak your mug in a mixture of scalding water and a few tablespoons of the powder (its abrasive so don't scrub with it or you'll open tiny scratches that will trap stinky, stainy oils and taint the mug worse in the future). Also, rinse your hands after it comes in contact with your skin. A little exposure won't hurt, but prolonged exposure will dry out skin and nails.

Walmart surprisingly has some great, durable rugs for super cheap. The upkeep is better and they last longer than wool rugs.

Also, roman shades in a color to match a new rug would be cohesive and nice. I think the crisp lines of a roman shade would go nicely in that kitchen.

Good Luck!
