I did this and it's great! I did it in my closet and am now able to store so many more pairs of shoes! Because it's hidden away in the closet, I opted for less "pretty" moulding and I'm not really concerned with how dirty the walls get. However, I was even able to use a 7" space of wall between the closet door and the adjoining wall to "display" several choice pairs. Thanks so much for this idea!!!!!!!!!
