I have two busts in my house. They add a certain elegance.

What Is the Best Way to Make Beef Jerky Without a Dehydrator? Good Questions

My husband's co-workers once made jerky with two box fans and air filters (I think). Perhaps you could look that up. It would sure beat using the oven in this heat. If I remember correctly, it was pretty tasty although you wouldn't get any smoky flavor, I suppose.

My husband works from home, and so do I. He frequently goes to a coffee shop with his other co-worker who works from home who lives in the area, and that's definitely their "second" place. They get a lot of stuff done. I work at home so I can be with my 21 month old, so I don't really get a second place :/

Maybe add some sweet things like chocolate or dried fruit to be a sweet/salty mix? I dunno, that's probably what I would try. Ooh, or I would try it over ice cream, but I like potato chips on my ice cream...

My parents have a tree, and we always had to pick them before the birds ate them. When we would pick them, we'd just eat them, or my dad just puts them in a jar and covers them with whiskey. The funny story in our family is when my now husband met my family for the first time, and he pretty much got drunk off of cherries haha

Interesting, I had no idea! I really like the options at Forbo. I thought ugly big box store sheet vinyl was going to be my only option for a future kitchen reno.

I've had an immersion blender for about 10 years and can count on one hand the times I've used it. A good blender will last ages and I think would be better for smoothies. My immersion blender makes a mess when I use it unless I have a very tall pot.

Removing the shutters and window box would help a lot, and what about a round white globe pendent at the entrance? If you don't like the roofline draw the eye towards the entrance and add landscaping. I think you can make it work without major construction because the bones of it looks mid-century to me. I think you may have to be purposeful with the color and what ever color you paint around the window. Getting a bigger window as some have suggested will be really expensive, too.

My dad always soaks his homegrown sour cherries in whiskey. They're very small cherries compared to what you find in the store and he never pits them. It would be fun to make these for my husband for father's day since his drinks of choice are Manhattans and Old Fashioneds. Now I'm picturing a liquor "bouquet" for him...hmm...

We just did a half bath, and hired someone to do it. It took forever! He did do things that we probably wouldn't have know about like replacing the subflooring (it was built in 1874). We kept the toilet, but changed the toilet seat and handle. We also bought an Ikea sink and I LOVE it! With the money we saved on the toilet and sink we bought a light fixture from Schoolhouse Electric, which I had been oogling for a while.

I have an Ikea wardrobe, too. I use the top shelf for out of season clothes, so right now I have my bulky sweaters and sweatshirts. I feel like it's still not used though. Mine is super tall and I'm pretty short so I don't use the top shelf mostly because I can't reach it. So that's not very helpful, but that's what I do.

Hm, when I read the title was thinking, "How is this going to look good?"...it does! I have a Malm dresser from Ikea that I could do this to. It also doesn't have handles, but needs a little pick-me-up. Thanks!
