Sad! Every room looks the same. They have taken a concept of adding in a cool quirky vintage item to a design, and exploited- COMPLETELY gone overboard in one design direction.
This style is half way out the door, and they are sending out a phone book size catalog trying to keep it going?
Again, love the concept of artisan design, and well crafted. However I hardly ever purchase from them anymore....This look has gotten downright depressing.

Remember color? Do they really think someone in a London flat wants to decorate in the same gloomy colors they experience outside all day long?

They should Look at the Soho hotel in London- they combined vintage and modern into a design which is stylish, hip, authentic, AND colorful!

Go to overstock.com and type in "thomaspaul" all one word. Some similar and very fun flat weave patterned rugs, great prices!

1. Run your curtain rod right up against the wall and side of fireplace. Don't use finials. As of now your curtains, even when fully opened block the window and light. this way you can stack clear of the window.
2. Raise the curtain rod to about 4" below the ceiling height.
3. Now that your curtains will need to be a non standard height, how about getting two cheap pairs. One white and one in a color. Cut the panels horizontally and sew the colorful portion into a band at the bottom about 24" high or so... Then you'll have that splash or color you need!

If you want color on your walls and you are not allowed to paint, just purchase a "hospital style" curtain track from Kirsch hardware (9600 series) along with the roller slides with hook #9616. They are super cheap! (I'm talking Ikea prices) Then, go to a discount fabric store, and purchase some fun fabric. Install 1" grommets every 7" on the fabric top edge and voila! a draped fun colored or patterned wall.

The #2 full twist chair looks like it would be a back-breaker but not so! I sat in this one at the show and it was super comfy.

I just came back from NEOCON in Chicago. Shaw had by far the most amazing new collections of carpet tiles. I love the 18x36 size, and the patterns were spot-on. I typically really like Interface tiles but did not really love their new introductions this year.
