My new sofa came with oddly oversized, down-filled side pillows that were so large and ungainly that it was difficult to position them on the couch...thanks to this post, I realize that they were DESIGNED to be karate chopped!! I gave it a try and suddenly, they fit. Still looks kinda stupid, though... What's Your Design Pet Peeve? |

I'm a little surprised at all the lack of enthusiasm. The Before would be fine for a weekend cottage, but for day-to-day living...?! Nuh-uh. I think the re-do is a beautiful, much more livable space. Before & After: Family Room from Dark to Light |

I recently exchanged my clunky Ikea coffee table for a taller, squarer antique table that you can write at, eat at and read at. Much easier to maneuver around, AND you can see my rather nice rug. Best design move I've ever made. Breaking the Rules: Forgoing The Coffee Table |
