I'm so glad you decided to showcase this place. It's so close to the trains, the docks and other industrial stuff, that when I drove by I thought they must make ship parts! I'll be in to check it out. Beam & Anchor: A 7,000 Square Foot Haven for Warm Industrial Housewares Store Profile |

Dryer sheets have some kind of oil and non-food grade chemical softening agents. The baking soda suggestion is a solid one, and, if oil is needed, why not just soak in a veggie-oil based, biodegradable food-grade soap? Clean Baked-On Gunk from Pans with Dryer Sheets |

Or, try your local thrift store. I got an old rollup projector screen last year with its own foldup stand, and about th size pictured, for $20 in my local Goodwill, and I see other old screens like it there all the time. I also see the inflatable screens, although they are usually more expensive, $50 and up, and may have holes that need to be patched. The beauty of the projector screens is the material, specifically designed for the purpose. I'm not against DIY, but there's no reason not to make use of easy-to-set-up and store re-used screens with purpose-designed material. The DIY Movie Screen Made from PVC Pipe! |

What a shin-buster! My dog also sleeps in the bedroom a lot of the day hours also, so I'd need to leave it open all the time. After a long stint where my medium-sized dog's bed was under a table-like nightstand, I replaced that set-up with her wire crate, so that I can contain her in there when needed, and it's not as dark and gloomy as the furniture was. I put a small tray on top to hold a few nightstand-type items. BTW, here are wooden furniture-type end table/dog crates on the market but I'm not inclined to buy one because it seems they don't let in much light.
