I really wanted to like this, but both my vegetarian husband and I had to choke it down. It was really smokey -- from the smoked paprika I assume. Next time, I'd cut the paprika in half. Or maybe leave it out entirely and substitute something else. My husband thinks it needs cheese, but that's his answer to everything. We've had two Ikea kitchens over the years and would strongly recommend them. Of course there are higher quality cabinets out there, but after tons of research, we concluded that at this price point, Ikea is the clear winner. Even my father, who is a rather snooty kitchen designer, thinks they're a very good choice for the money. Are IKEA Kitchen Cabinets a Good Idea? Good Questions |

It looks really good -- huge improvement. Exposed brick can be beautiful, by the brick on that fireplace was AWFUL. Much better painted! And that paneling also looks great painted. Great, inexpensive update. Before & After: Home Theater Den Renovation Reddit |

For kitchen cabinet doors, also look at Scherr's (http://www.scherrs.com/). While most of the door designs were too traditional for my taste, they do make a very nice Shaker door/drawer front, and they'll paint it in the SW color of your choice. We were very happy with both quality and service. Best of all, the doors/drawers can be pre-drilled for Ikea cabs. About the same price as Ikea doors, too. Is MCM doomed to become passe? We are desperately in need of a new sofa and chairs. I've been eyeing an MCM sofa (Fillmore) and chairs (Truman) from Thrive, but this thread is making me nervous. I've liked MCM for a few years now, and haven't seen any other style of sofa that I particularly like. But my taste has changed a lot over the years -- thanks largely to many hours gazing at AT house tours. I'm confused, and I don't trust myself not to get sucked into trends (or maybe a cult...). Do you think MCM will be "so 2010s" in a few years? Will I come to hate that couch as much as I currently hate my overstuffed 90's couch? Trend Prediction: What Do You Think is The Next Big Thing? |

I've had one of these for 6 months. It's held up very well, and I've even gotten compliments on it. I must admit, it does look nice in my kitchen. Easy to replace the head too. Laid Back Dish Brush from Full Circle |

I couldn't agree more with the other posters. That price is laughable. I made something similar using wooden knobs (from HD) that are the same shape as those pictured. I dipped them in plasti-dip, but you could just as easily paint them. They look really cool and only cost about $1.50 each. Silly DWR! Black Dot Coat Hooks by Tveit & Tornøe |

We've made this twice and it's great. My very picky children like it, and I love it. Easy, tangy (is there another word for that yet?), and tender. Thank you! How To Cook Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs in the Oven Cooking Lessons from The Kitchn |

I love your place. So creative, welcoming and homey. And I loved the "Handjobs" sign too. Call me immature, but that would crack me up every time I walked into the room. (And I'm a middle-aged woman with 3 kids. Two of whom would also crack up every time they saw that sign.) More's the pity... AJ & Alex's Eclectic Shabby Chic Queens Apartment House Tour |

Hmmm. I think the whole reward chart phenomenon is seriously mistaken. (Though not as mistaken as the word "Poo." Yech.) Not to mention condescending.
