You might not be willing to say 'carry a tape measure' but I will 'CARRY THE TAPE MEASURE' (caps = me just stating something, not yelling). My grandmother said to always carry one, she did, and so I do too. I can't tell you the number of times it has come in handy! I lived in a very small (and extremely old) village in England on and off for 10yrs and the only way to shop was to go to the butcher, or bread and cheese shop, or the veg and fruit shop DAILY. The reason was twofold, there was no other major store to go to (only very small general grocery store), and food was expensive and we could not afford to lay out, at one time, enough cash for a weeks worth of food. Oh good, it's not just me! I think picking up and cleaning has not been a priority due to a health emergency with my brother. But, now that that has resolved itself I actually cleaned (supper cleaned really) the bathroom the past weekend. It feels wonderful. Getting Into and Out of a Real Mess |

I have some X0X0 press top canisters (not the SS ones though) and they are fantastic! Here in Hawaii we have these little brown bugs who like flour, spices, and pasta and I use to have to keep everything in my frig (which BTW is the size of large suitcase) in order to keep it safe, but not with these.
