This room is really nice, and so spacious! But those aren't polka dots: polka dots are evenly spaced. They're just dots, and they look great!

You've done a lovely job, but it seems a little unfair that you work from home for two companies, yet have to cram your workspace into the small bedroom, while your husband gets the large room and only has to give it up if you have an overnight guest... Does he work from home for three companies or something?

There was a show on the BBC called "Restoration Home" which had, among other things, an old abandoned church being converted by a young couple - it was really well done. The episode's on YouTube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyFqSkbEmFY . Skip to about 53 minutes in for the reveal.

Please say there's going to be a "channel" where we can just read EVERYTHING, in nice neat chronological order!

I'm a woman of simple tastes: I like to go to a blog and just scroll down, reading every interesting-looking post until I hit something I've already seen and thus know I've read everything new since my last visit. I already get mildly annoyed by having to jump between five different sites to catch up; now there will be seven?! Yes, fine, they're "channels" of a single site, but it amounts to the same thing. And the "Main" channel will only have highlights, so I'll never know what I'm missing if I just read that.

And a "Keep calm and carry on" fresco, in Latin.

How about "perfer et obdura" (a quote from the Roman poet Ovid, meaning more or less "carry through and stay strong")?

I'd love to have frescoes painted in my apartment, but it'd probably be too pricey. I'm definitely considering a mosaic on the shower floor when I redo my bathroom, though (as a bonus, I hear mosaic tiles are less slippery than big ones because of the grout between them).
