Two of my favorite stores are Monograph Bookwerks and Ampersand. Both amazing for design and art books, objects, and paper items. Last trip there I picked up a vintage telephone from a portland fire station, vintage telephone message pads, original 1918 christmas children's abc book that I split apart and framed, and a 1959 christmas card holder with great graphics. So many wonderful items at both places.

This is simply fantastic. My favorite entry so far hands down. I love the story behind it, and the thoughtful execution of such an elegent, and simple design. Well done and good luck! I think you might win this for sure.

Just a little heads up that Urban Beast and Urchin have both been closed in Seattle for a while.

Those labels are not meant to stay on the glass. You wouldn't put your mouth on it to drink. They will fall off with 2-3 washings anyway, or simply soak them overnight and they fall off.

We carry one by G.Romano (out of Canada) called the Ted which is super comfortable and comes in a side chair and ottoman. Hope this helps!

You are correct. It is by Koi, and we used to carry it at Velocity. We had no issues with the quality of this chair, nor the fantastic people that create this fantastic item. They switched their manufacturing facility in 2007, and it caused all kinds of lead time issues which we couldn't seem to get resolved, so we had to drop the line. The price was indeed high I remember. I have one left in my house that I'm actually looking to sell if you want to buy it. We switched to different desk chairs, but still have one in great shape. You can contact me at john@velocityartanddesign.com and we can talk more. Best- John

Also, can you set that ladder back into the wall to make it flush when not in use? If so, then wow! great use of space.

I would like to level the playing field and offer the same price for the fiberglass Modernica version as the Herman Miller sale version for Apartment Therapy readers of this post. The problem is, I can't find the Herman Miller dowel version online for regular or sale pricing, only the Eiffel tower base? If someone could point me to the pricing, I would do my best to match that price for those wishing to order the fiberglass version from us. I don't know if this is appropriate to post here, but thought I would offer it up.
I echo the thoughts that you should choose which one you like best for whatever reason. We always tell our customers that, and leave the final choice up to them.
Thanks!
