The cure for the Sunday blues is to remind myself how fortunate I am to have a job in this economy. Philosophical approach would be is, for every Monday comes a Friday, thus the cycle of life. It works sometimes:-)

Cars and architecture are my two favorite subjects. I associate a classic european car with a midcentury modern home. Maybe because their designs are never out-dated. Also newer cars styles are going retro so a midcentury home is appropriate? If this car was a minivan, you would see a more traditional home, perhaps. Great discussions on a great topic!

It's a good idea but it's a bit tacky :-) I like the ipad because of its simplistic design: a thin sleek slab.

Maybe you might have a bad unit. I bought 2 units, one for my bedroom and one for my living room. I have had both streaming without issues. When I watch Netflix, I do occasionally get the buffering icon. Sorry to hear about your not-so-good experience.

The reason why it looks nice the way it is because it's not cluttered. I would not get a rug and cover up the nice floor. It's hard to get an idea of your space. It would be nice to have your sofa move away from the wall and face the view/window. Maybe mount your TV. Can you center your bed and turn your bed to the other wall so your bed will be parallel to the window. Don't over accessorize. Nice space!

I would think having multiple 1TB HD is better then having "all your eggs in one basket" like a 3TB HD. If that big guy crash it will so expensive to retrieve all the files! Any thoughts on that??

Collecting miniatures anything is fun. There is something exciting about looking at small scale replicas. I agree that collecting is cluttered. I store mine in boxes and I would take them out to admire occasionally, or I would display one or two at a time.

Speaking about details, the grains on the wood looks like quartered-sawn oak. a character of Mission style furniture. It you cut the oak a certain direction it reveals a different grain pattern unlike the typical cut the grain is rather ugly and "dated" like you see a lot in the 70s.

I live in University Heights near Balboa Park, a wonderful park to visit not to mention the San Diego Zoo, as well. Great weather. Rent is pricey and home prices are high... unless you move East of San Diego.

Star Wars figures! I was a young boy when Star Wars first appeared. It left an impression on me. Now over 30 years later, I am collecting them and sharing the experience with my 7 year-old son. He still has trouble understanding that Darth Vader is Luke and Leia's father. Lol! Great topic.

Speaking of Tom Hanks, how about "Sleepless in Seattle" with the Boat House and Sam's client who wanted a larger refrigerator in her new house? So they would have to move the supporting wall.

My ex kept the cats. After 10 years living with cats and having to deal with litter-box and cat spraying (they're neutered, apparently from stress), and cat hair everywhere, I am now pet-free in my place. Yeah! I occasionally go over to play with them and leave when I had enough.

You get what you pay for. The aluminum casing is more elegant, nicer design. Dell is made of cheap looking plastic. I have a 24 in Imac and a Dell laptop. It's nice to have the choices.
