I'm going to have to side with the objectors here. Ever since someone tried to convince me as a child that carob was "just like chocolate" this kind of food fakery really ticks me off. There are plenty of delicious vegan breakfast options. Why not make something honest and good for your vegan guests, instead of a poor (and btw vile sounding) facsimile of an egg dish? Carob is fine, but it isn't chocolate. Squash and tofu, also lovely, but there are plenty of nicer ways to prepare them that do more justice to the ingredients than baking them in toast so they vaguely resemble a set of ingredients with entirely different set of characteristics. I'm not sure what's "versatile" about a tiny space where one entire room is occupied by two chairs that are permanently mounted to the floor, preventing even the option to pull up closer or back away from the fire to get comfortable. The accordion feature is a smart way to address the legal limitations of the site, but the interior is unnerving and seems to lack any of the flexible, multifunctional use of space that is important for liveability in a place this small. I'm sure this is tasty, but I don't understand how it can be considered a full meal. With so little protein, I'd be useless all afternoon and I can't possibly be alone in that. Quick Meal Idea: Salad-Stuffed Pita Pockets |

Long term, the adhesive from the packing tape is bound to damage the finish. Looks good, but you may want to consider a different method attach the paper. Before & After: Reducing the Visual Noise of a DVD Cabinet |

I love poached eggs over sauteed greens and soft polenta or grits. Or, if you don't want to mess with polenta in the morning, just the eggs and greens with toast is also a satisfying and tasty meal. What Are Some Ways to Eat More Greens with Breakfast? Good Questions |

Another passionate plea to bring back Emperor's Choice. My dad drank it constantly when I was kid and it became one of my favorites, too. I've never found a suitable substitute and I miss it desperately. Please, please, please revive it! Expert Interview: Charlie Baden of Celestial Seasonings |

Since you've indicated the metal of the pot is actually cracked, I would be worried about the crack growing and creating an unpredictable, possibly dangerous situation under the stresses of heating and cooling with use. Cast iron is brittle, and will be even more so in the area around that crack where it's now been stressed by the impact of the fall. Is It Possible To Seal or Repair My Chipped Le Creuset Pot? I'm thinking it's a store display rack for wine bottles. It looks like it's about the right size to hold maybe 5-6 bottles standing upright on each shelf. I've worked in a couple of wine stores and you would not believe the number of single-purpose fixtures vendors try to foist on you to give their product more store presence. The back rooms of those places are always full of this kind of odd stuff collecting dust and I've definitely seen them migrate to thrift stores on occasion. What Is This Thriftstore Find? I love the idea of these tiles, but not so much in this room. It's looking kind of muddy and leaning dangerously toward 80's. Also, I doubt these are going to solve your issue with keeping your backsplash clean. They'll show every fingerprint and speck of grease. Others have suggested white subway tiles, which would work well to break up your muted colors with something clean and bright and allow your appliances to blend in for a more unified look. Visually attractive but totally impractical. What happens to your mattress when you inevitably splash water out of the tub and it runs right down that slope to pool in the bed inset? And even assuming you can avoid that disaster, where are we assuming the steam ends up? Maybe it's because I live in a humid climate, but all I can think of when I look at this is clammy sheets all the time. No thanks. Combination Bed/Bath from Berlin's Hotel Q Trend Watch |

@orchidgirl1979: It's both uncool and almost certainly illegal to steal this image and print it for yourself. Someone put their talent and labor into this design and since they are SELLING IT ON ETSY they are presumably hoping to make a living from their work. I'm very curious how you plan to seal this, particularly given how uneven the surface of this material tends to be. It could look really great if you have a viable plan to protect it from moisture, dirt & uneven wear and guard your bare feet against splinters, but it seems to me like that could be a big "if." Best thing ever. One of the top foods I crave when I miss living in France. So simple & so unbelievably good. Now I live in the Bay Area, came across the Roli Roti truck the other day, and got super excited. But reading comments here, I'm dubious now. Someone mentioned that they put...limes in the bag? This casts doubt on the whole operation, honestly. Oh, SF, you tease, but then you always have to mess with perfection. Why?! The Semi-Secret Glories of Rotisserie Chicken |

As the partner of a person with fragrance allergies this idea makes me cringe. I guarantee that although they may not be aware of it, almost everyone reading this knows at least one person who is sensitive to fragrance to some degree. Why risk driving those people from your home? Instead of adding more irritants to the air, just find a way to clean your vacuum. Whatever's making that unpleasant smell probably isn't so awesome for your health either. Stinky Vacuum? Use a Dryer Sheet! |
