I Would Never Rent an Apartment That…

I tried this last Saturday, and it was a definite HIT at my home. One thing I would try differently is to substitute 1/2 the oil with butter. It's missing some buttery fragrance. Texture is great, not soggy or floppy. It stayed crispy yet soft on the inside. The leftover toasted well in the toaster the next day too. Overall we loved it and will be making again soon.

We had the crib in our master bed room, it was the only room big enough to fit it. My son was colicky so sleep was a big issue for him. My husband and I would take turns sleeping in the master bed to watch him. The other would sleep undisturbed on the futon in the den. Getting the straight 4-5 hours of sleep helps with the sleep deprivation.

Try putting low tack, double-sided tape on all the areas the cat likes to scratch. It like setting a booby trap, the tape catches on its paws and freaks it out. After a few times, the kitty associates the couch with bad memories and learns to stay away.

I am definitely a planner and prepacker. I think having the same size boxes are a great idea. Recently, I came across a green and sensible solution for boxes. You can rent large plastic bins from a company called Frogbox. They delivery the boxes to you before you move and picks them up after. What a great idea...the bonus is you will always have the same size boxes :)
