I can definitely make use of that iKibble app. My Boston Terrier, Carlos, has never been able to eat commercial dog foods because of his sensitive stomach. I’m always looking for healthy and flavorful additions for his homemade dog food.

I'm SO GLAD I don't live with some of you commenters.
She didn't ask for your personal (and quite judgmental) opinions about her life. She asked about style/design...you know the entire theme of this website?

Linz - Here is some advice in regard to the ACTUAL question you asked: talk to your Mom.

You know her best, you know what will and won't upset her. I too moved back home after life gave me lemons and I (gently while being quite appreciative for being given my old room back) pointed out to my Mom that she could tweak a few things and give the place a calmer feeling. I personally updated some of her furniture (after discussing it with her first) and after those few changes she was willing to admit that she had been holding on to things that lacked function & were unnecessarily. The small home projects became something fun we could do together.

If she isn't receptive to what you're saying then you've got to respect that. Take the space she's given you and turn it into your own personal paradise. And remember that this too shall pass.

BEST WISHES!!! <3

as Niche said, Korean dramas have the BEST set design! I'd recommend "Boys Before Flowers" or even "Personal Taste"...a drama about an architect and an eccentric furniture maker. The design plays such a large role in that particular series that I would even go as far as to call it a character.

I've lived in Detroit all of my 25 years.

But for one gloriously marvelous year I lived in downtown Detroit in a stunningly beautiful building down the street from Comerica Park, behind The Filmore and across from the Opera House. I loved every freaking second of it!

I moved farther into the city on the eastside, but I long for the days when I walked everywhere, went ice skating or saw an outdoor movie at Campus Martius or talked to lost suburbanites on game days. I love my city so much and I'm glad you're appreciating it Blake.

When I got my first apartment my mother bought me two ornate silver trays from thrift stores for about $10 each. It has been her go to house warming gift for the last twenty five years.

She used toothpaste and a fingernail brush to clean them, making them all shiny and pretty.

I use one on my coffee table and the other on my dresser in my room. But just be sure to shine them up every now and then

From 1997-2002. My walls were covered in pictures of the Backstreet Boys, Andrew Keegan and various actors from WB television shows.

Somewhere around sophomore year (early 2003) my focus shifted to dead celebrities (River Phoenix), musicians (Coldplay, Bjork, Nelly Furtado, Gorillaz), models, stuff from Teen People magazine, photographs taken by Steven Meisel and the most obscure looking images I could find. I think at one point I even had one of my Mom's old liscene plates on the wall.

Oh and Orlando Bloom. I had a rabid fascination with him as well.
