Agree with repressd. Prime it first, and then you'll have a blank canvas to work with - it'll make it easier for you to imagine the possibilities for the room if you start with a clean slate. Good luck!

I cannot agree strongly enough with the push for clean, white accessories against the b&w and yellow that's already going on in this bathroom. Adding colorful accessories (especially a shower curtain, which will overwhelm the space) will just make it feel busier and more claustrophobic, even if the colors match the tiles. Keep it clean, light, and uniform with a white (or lightly b&w patterned) curtain, towels, and other accessories: not only will the space feel bigger, it will make the existing tiling actually look pretty good.

And I love the idea of painting the vanity white - a black vanity in that bathroom would be overwhelming and depressing (not to mention kind of outdated...).

Can't wait to see what you decide to do with it, definitely post before-and-after photos when you're finished!
