I live in NE Ohio and the Breeze system is now available at PetSmart. I LOVE it! And I don't feel that the cost of the pellets and tray liners is any more than buying traditional clumping litter for as long as it lasts. I never smell the box like I used to. I definitely recommend the Breeze system by TidyCats. http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3446912&f=PAD%2FpsNotAvailInUS%2FNo

Ideal Kitty Litter for Apartment Dwellers? Good Questions

NEWSFLASH: Nearly everything you come into contact with on a daily basis, including things you eat off of and with, are covered in bacteria and carcinogens. We're all gonna die eventually and from something. May as well go out in style with an awesome cheeseboard.

Seriously?! How much cheese do you eat that you would be concerned about ingesting enough of anything in the wood to do your body serious harm. The body is an amazing thing, and can handle small amounts of nearly any lesser poison: alcohol, marijuana, tobacco - all poisons, and all flushable. Relax, breathe deep, and enjoy a worry-free life.

Om, Shanti, Peace.

This will take a little patience, or a little money. If you're patient, wait until you see that tragic old corkboard at the thrift store that's got water stains on it, and pounce! A little spray paint for the frame, and you can fill it in with your postcards and lean it anywhere! On a side table with some art and books, on your entry table with your keys and purse, etc.

If you have a little money, you could go to a big box retailer like Target, and purchase several smaller cork boards (maybe in the 12" range?) and head over to home depot for a couple 2x4s. Lie the 2x4s flat, and then place your corkboards on top, right against each other in a line. Screw the corkboards to the 2x4s (be sure your screws are long enough to go through the corkboards into the 2x4s, but short enough not to go through the 2x4s into your flooring). When you're done, stand it up and lean it against a wall, and you can tack your postcards in for some vertical color! You can trim the 2x4s so they don't show at the top or bottom, or leave them at the bottom as "legs." Either way, I'd use something at the top to protect the walls, a little felt or some left over fabric glued or stapled to the part of the 2x4s that will touch the wall.

I love your style! But I agree with a couple other folks, not what I consider "minimalist."

I'm absolutely moving everything clothing-related out of my bedroom and into my sun room. I can't take it anymore. I inevitably come home from work, and shed my clothes onto the floor and that's where they lie until laundry day. If they're at least in another room I'll be able to relax in my room again.

I have been trying to problem solve a solution for a similar cold problem. Living in North East Ohio, we don't get a lot of natural light in the winter anyway, so when it would be in use it wouldn't really detract too much from other considerations such as light. I think I will do this at both my front and back doors. LOVE this execution. The tie back is an excellent idea to keep it chic.

My best guest is that it's coming from your heating/cooling vents (if you have them). If you have radiators then I'm not sure. If you do have forced air vents then I'd ask the landlords about having the air filters changed which should help.

While for various reasons I was not a fan of the man, my stepfather was known for wearing blue jeans and flannels. When he died, my mom made quilts out of his old jeans and flannels for his grandkids. They love them!

I agree with "gleaming hardwords" I have almost eliminated Post Its from my desk and primarily use scrap paper cut down into quarter- or eighth-page size for notes. If I need it to stick somewhere I use... tape! Or if I need it to stick to another page I use... a paper clip! I know, I know... Novel isn't it? I really try to limit my Post It use to when nothing else will suffice - which is rare.

I have to disagree for two reasons: A) I think the solid color looked better and the new upholstery leaves a bad taste in my mouth. B) I also think it was a bad decision to upholster the top as one cushion instead of the original three-cushion design.

On a sidenote, if you're going to use that (God-awful) upholstery, please do not attempt to go the "print-on-print" route with the throw pillow. You need a solid somewhere to tone that down.

To put all of my comments into perspective, I'm not even conservative! I'm a 24 year old gay male midwesterner! I love crazy, ecclectic, and most specifically vintage pieces! This one just missed the mark for me.

First of all, I'm Anthony too!

There are ways to successfully paint ceramic tile. If you google it, you'll find a host of options. I would start by painting that purple tile black. That alone will help you feel better about the space.

The bathrooms in my apartment now are laid out pretty much the same, and I have found that avoiding print on the shower curtain helps. I simply use a white shower curtain liner by itself.

I would purchase a wall cabinet that can be found at most major box-stores to store all of your essentials, and anything that can be moved out of the bathroom should be (i.e. makeup etc.). The less you have on your sink, the better you'll feel. Too much clutter in a small space will cause some anxiety.

If it's permissable I would paint the cabinet. It'll need some sanding first, but I wouldn't paint it black. I would go with a high-gloss white to give it a clean look, and help it blend in with the toilet and tub. I'd also switch out the hinges and handle for some brushed nickel hardware.

Last of all, I see there's a built in soap dish there. If you use this for soap it will get grimy fast. Instead, I put a handful of river rocks in mine, and placed a candle in the middle. The heat doesn't hurt anything because it's ceramic tile, and I've even used votive candles without a dish. They melt right into the stones and are usually easy to pop right out without leaving wax on the soap dish. And even if it does leave some, dried wax is pretty easy to get off of the tile.

Hope this helps!
