we rotate prints seasonally especially in small spaces like the powder room. i think it makes things interesting and my young son appreciates finding something new on the walls. we also swap out curtains in the warmer months for lighter one. Simply Seasonal: Swapping Out Your Art? |

i know someone mentioned alton browns "the chewy" recipe and this is my go to recipe. i think it makes the best cookies. what might help with your graininess is that he melts the butter and mixes the hot butter with the sugar almost creating a caramel effect, smooth and gorgeous! the other thing i do is to use half white whole wheat flour and ap flour, both from king arthur as well as add about a quarter cup of pecan meal this ups the nuttiness and adds more dimension to the flavor. good luck! we "had" to do this last year since we and by we i mean my husband forgot to check the frying set-up the night before ;) it turned out for the best since the bird came out beautifully juicy and was cooked in about half the time and had the added bonus of not taking up nearly as much room in the oven leaving plenty of room for all the side dishes Flatten that Bird: Have You Butterflied a Turkey? |

we have the go crib and loved it. we took it with us on several road trips as well as trips to iceland and japan. i like that you can get in and out through the top and how stable it is. we really felt like it was a great investment and closest to being in a traditional crib/pack n play. we have the white lounger and adore it!!! there was no other option for us we just new the white was classic and would be perfect for us. we have had it for 4 years now and have 2 dogs and a toddler and it has kept up beautifully to those conditions. just a light cleaning of the leather here and there is all it takes. one not though make sure that dark denim is protected when sitting on any light colored furniture eames or not :) enjoy it! my husband writes books on how to build apps, they sell more in printed copy than they do on digital devices...hows that for the move to tech??? we have every gadget known to man and i have tried to make switches here and there but i just can't bring myself to replace my printed cookbooks. the layout is by far more in line with how i cook in the kitchen. this being said i do enjoy a well done app or digital version of a magazine, sometimes even better than print ;) Apps vs. Books: Is It the End of the Cookbook Era? |
