Different! I would have done something with the knobs too, opaque glass in the corresponding colors that they're currently painted. Otherwise it's pretty nifty! Style Shift: Transforming a Painted Dresser Mama With a Dash of DIY Drama |

I am so dying for the little art deco night stand and I'd love to have the display case above, too. Live Like a Golden Girl: Estate of Rue McClanahan Auction |

I'm really sad to see that there are 42 cell phone pictures used for a whole house tour. Next time find an art student with a DSLR if you don't want to pay someone, ANYONE will take you up for a chance to be published on AT to add to their list of places they've been published on their portfolio. The right photographer could have made everyone see why YOU are proud of YOUR HOME. I'm holding back a lot of comments because I don't want to come across as mean, but how are your bookcases going to hold up after years of supporting the weight of those books? Even if you're on a budget, with a little patience and willingness to get your hands dirty, you can score used real wood bookcases for the same price (or less!) as brand new cheap crap bookcases. I'm not above pulling a real-wood bookcase out of someone's garbage pile but I will NEVER shell out any money whatsoever for particle board, which is just sawdust and glue. I wouldn't even take a particle board bookcase for free. Ever. Lindsey & Stephen's Book-Filled Apartment House Tour |

Have you tried taking the remaining shade down, looking it over for something that would ID it, and then look on ebay for it? I think you would be able to find a suitable, if not exact replacement. Cheap Shade Idea to Replace the One Boyfriend Broke? Good Questions |

my husband and I just looked at an apartment that has MAUVE wall-to-wall carpeting. And I'm terrified at the thought of trying to deal with that...or I was...until I saw this. I would probably buy it if I had to...as a starting point for decorating the rest of it. GORGEOUS!!!! Win This Gypsy Chandelier from High Fashion Home! Holiday Giveaway 2010 |
