What a wonderful abode. Comfortable, moody and romantic.

I would love to entertain more. I have this fantasy about effortless entertaining, my house filled with friends all the time. Some people seem to be able to do this. I cannot. I entertain very rarely, in fact. With my busy work schedule as a writer, my house is a mess most of the time. Having people over is just too much work and stress. It's a major production. When I do have a dinner party, I'm usually sorry about it the day before because I'm in a panic about it and I have to work like a dog to get everything done. I'm usually happy with the result, but it's just too much work. Wish it was different.

There's so much creativity and heart in this home. My favorite piece is the framed vintage postcards. Very inspiring.

I don't think there is a single thing I don't absolutely love about this apartment, from the leather furniture to the dark moody color on the walls to the eclectic art and use of textiles. Someone hire Evan! Impeccable taste.

I agree, this color combo is delicious. IMO, throw just a touch of black into the mix and you've got heaven.

Really nice juxtaposition of earthy and romantic elements. I especially like the large-scale wallpaper in the entryway and the dining room picture gallery.

I had the same exact thought as ChicagoD--the art is too high. Otherwise, this apartment is adorable. Why do so many people, including interior designers, hang art so high? It's a pet peeve of mine. It looks so much better hung low!
