Every time someone ever posts about t.v. the post instantly turns into "We don't watch t.v." "It eats brains" "Destroys souls!" etc. The fact is, as someone who has always loved movies, was raised watching certain shows, and watches cartoons with my little one, it never harmed me. We did live for 4 years without a t.v. to see what it was like, and we missed it! We missed the entertainment value of a good movie, snuggle, and quiet. And we also read, play outside, do crafty and artsy things all day...but boy...our family enjoys a silly cartoon on Saturday morning or a nice movie on a night when someone doesn't feel well. Our little one watches in total about 45 minutes of t.v. a day. He watches Little Bear and Super Why!. Both shows make us happy. Our brains are fine. Thanks. TV Time: What's the Magic Number? |

I would pop off the closet doors to lighten the space. Hang a piece of fabric infront of the door to outside and put a chair in front of it, or two chairs and a little table. The wall to the right of the outside door would be best for two little beds. You could put the headboards against that wall and place them close to one another or put them foot to foot. I had a little creek in my side yard when I was young. We weren't allowed to play around it alone but my dad built a little bridge over it on a spot my mom could see from the kitchen window/deck so we had a spot to go sit and enjoy just as us kids. But if we strayed from the bridge...ruh roh. Safety Ideas for a Small Creek Near the House Good Questions |

I would totally go with the vibe in here already. Change out the handles to something bright white to enhance the shabby contrast and paint that back wall an awesomely bold color and get nuts with the curtain fabric. Keep it simple and add to it continuously. Maybe display a collection of plates or images you have on the back wall that are different in size to play off the differently sized cabinet fronts. Have fun with it, but don't get to involved with the doors themselves, you may regret it later when you get pinned with the bill for staple holes or gooey stuff left on the fronts. P.S.- Get that range away from the wall! It is dangerous. and cramps the space for cooking on a smaller cooktop. Give it at least 15 inches to the right to breath. What Color Cabinets for Condo Kitchen? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

I disagree with the idea of staying completely white. I think you should go with a nice light wood cabinet. Maybe the Nexus Birch style from IKEA on the bottom and use a the Rubrik white and aluminum on top with some open shelving as well. The space is small, but a wood grain will keep it fresh and modern without looking stark. What Color Cabinets for Condo Kitchen? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

What I would do is head back to IKEA and pick up an inexpensive big area rug and cover up as much as you can of the red rug, and then you're free to do what you want without the restriction of the carpet! Design Suggestions for Bedroom with Red Carpet? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy New York |

This is your home. Though others may abhor black and brown, or dark colors when combined, go with your instict. It is only paint. If dark gray doesn't work, paint over it with a navy, or an aubergine, which will always work with darker woods.
