I am truly satisfies with my Ikea kitchen, but one thing makes me furious every time I use it (e.g. daily): the Domsjö sink!
The Bottom is plain, that means all the dirt and foam and whatever will gather in the corners and I have to wipe them out every single time.
So don't buy Domsjö!

I can only recommend Gruene Erde, most of the pieces are Austria-made and completely free from any harmful stuff.

It's interesting, most of the German flats/apartments don't come funished at all, it's even common that you have to bring your own kitchen.
I like it that way, there's nothing more annoying than a kitchen that doesn't match your demands...

Basically, this is a great idea but lacks logic with with this question What items can I replace with a non-plastic/plastic-wrapped alternative?
Why should I thow something plastic I already own away (= create more waste) when it still makes sense to use it?

The sheets made me LOL, I can't imagine anything more ridicudous when it comes to "seduction".
Clean and fresh and dimmed light is nice. Don't try too hard is the motto.

I use a lovely melamin contailer with a soft plastic cover and wonder how high the conterminantion of the melamin with BPA and phthalates are. I tried to find out but all I got is that melamin is some kind of phthalate. I am confused.

What coffeetable is it in the first pic? I want it!

I am an atheist and I love to celebrate Christmas. During the year, I avoid anything religious, but during this time I soak in the decorations, whatever they may look like, angels or not.

Christmas to me is about my family and my friends, spending time together and looking back at the year.

This is such a nice take on documenting a pregnancy. There are only two pictures of my mom with me in her belly. I wish there were more.

This is really nice collection! They are so beautiful but personally, I think they are not comfortable enough to consider them as "propper" dining/desk chair.
@prometheanne: As you see I would not recommend the classic Bertoia designs for a desk chair, it's very hard to sit in it for a longer period of time. We have a diamond chair in our office and even though it has a pillow in it nobody wants to use it. Maybe it's because it's nicer to look at than to sit in it :)
