Fill in the Blank: A Little More ____ Never Hurt!

It's interesting, most of the German flats/apartments don't come funished at all, it's even common that you have to bring your own kitchen.
I like it that way, there's nothing more annoying than a kitchen that doesn't match your demands...

Basically, this is a great idea but lacks logic with with this question What items can I replace with a non-plastic/plastic-wrapped alternative?
Why should I thow something plastic I already own away (= create more waste) when it still makes sense to use it?

Here's an interesting article about soy-growing in Brazil and how it's destoying the rainforest. Sadly, it's only in German:

I use a lovely melamin contailer with a soft plastic cover and wonder how high the conterminantion of the melamin with BPA and phthalates are. I tried to find out but all I got is that melamin is some kind of phthalate. I am confused.

Ox-gall soap for stains in textiles/upholstery. It's a miracle to ink, fat, grass, everything! I can't remember a stain ox-gall soap didn't work on.

I am an atheist and I love to celebrate Christmas. During the year, I avoid anything religious, but during this time I soak in the decorations, whatever they may look like, angels or not.

Christmas to me is about my family and my friends, spending time together and looking back at the year.

What would be the consequence of Jong's thesis? Let my kid chew on phtaltes and PAK conterminated toys?

And, if you sum up and concentrate on all the issues and problems in the world -you want to protect your child from- it's highly likely that you end up not having children at all.

This is such a nice take on documenting a pregnancy. There are only two pictures of my mom with me in her belly. I wish there were more.

This is really nice collection! They are so beautiful but personally, I think they are not comfortable enough to consider them as "propper" dining/desk chair.
@prometheanne: As you see I would not recommend the classic Bertoia designs for a desk chair, it's very hard to sit in it for a longer period of time. We have a diamond chair in our office and even though it has a pillow in it nobody wants to use it. Maybe it's because it's nicer to look at than to sit in it :)

-big balcony/rooftop garden
-top floor, I so agree with nothing worse than people stomping around above you
-big windows
-lovely view

there also no-go's:

-tiles all over
-windows as big as stamps
-merged kitchen/livingroom
- noisy streets and annoying street/shop lighting

Like Joseph Beueys said: "If the bees disappear, mankind will die" or so.
Despite its decorative aspect I think this trend will hopefull create awarenes about how much we depend on the bees.

I'm a big fan of minimal effort-maximal effect projects and wallpaper is just perfect for it. Here's my own little take on it:
