Beautiful place! The transformation is incredible! I'd love to know the source of the crystal lamp(s) in the loft + the bedroom. Thank you!

I just adore your space! The design feels so thoughtful. The textures and colors are spot on. Also, hearing you describe your space makes me want to be your friend. Just lovely all around.

I'm not even a big fan of wood, but wow, this space is stunning! Looking through the before photos I cannot believe it's the same space. Brilliant job!

I totally agree with the Aden + Anais swaddle blankets being a must have! We bought one pack of 4 ($40) and used them constantly. In fact, those were the only blankets we bought when our son was born and even after extensive laundering they just got softer/better. They've held up so well, they'll be around for our next baby. I know budgets obviously vary, but for us the blankets (at $10 a piece) are a steal.

Besides the Aden + Anais blankets, the item that we couldn't have been without was our Itzbeen pocket nanny. We LOVED it! In the beginning when we were at our most sleep deprived, it was a lifesaver. I could barely remember my own name so remembering what side I last breastfed on or for how long was definitely a struggle during 4 am wake-ups. Best $20 we spent. I'm sure there are inexpensive apps for your phone that do the same thing if you were looking for an even less expensive alternative or if you were trying to avoid having more "stuff" around.

So happy to see this sofa was saved rather than discarded. I love the black + white color scheme, too. I think the legs look great painted white, it really highlights the details in the wood. My issue is with the swirl pattern, which seems dated to me, I would have much preferred a solid black. But the most important thing is that Leslie loves it, so bravo!

@furnituremover - thank you!!! I discovered the stump was a Kalon creation (in case anyone else was curious), but hadn't found the elephants yet.

Beautiful room! I'd love to know the source of the wood (for lack of a better description) tooth stool and the wood elephants if anyone knows.

@Chad M - I adore your home! It's modern, warm + inviting. The kitchen is especially lovely! I know your home tour was posted a few years ago (I linked through after seeing a photo of your kitchen from an Apartment Therapy posting about plants today), so I'm not sure if you check back at all to read the comments. But if you do, would you mind sharing the paint color in the kitchen? Thanks so much.

Love. Love. Love! My favorite so far. The white feels calming (I know I may be in the minority on this one) + the touches of wood add the perfect amount of warmth. Altogether lovely space!

People are up in arms about the cowhide rug? That makes no sense. The hides are a product of the beef industry, so your comments should really be directed at anyone who eats beef, not people who use the hides as decor. Anyone in the design or beef industry can tell you (although it should be obvious), cows are not slaughtered for their hides. I suppose we should eat the meat + throw out the hides? That sounds much more sensible.

I finally saw the line! Well... the three pieces they are carrying at my store anyway. I live in a small town so perhaps in larger areas the entire line will be available for in-store purchase, but my store only had the comforter sets and two throw pillows available. I was pretty disappointed. Not only was the price point higher than I was anticipating (comforter sets - twin $149/queen $179, throw pillows - $39 each, coverlets - twin $99/queen $129/euro sham $39, and sheets - twin $79/full $89/queen $99), but the quality felt okay at best. Not to mention the two things I was most looking forward to checking out (the coverlet + the sheets) had to be ordered through an associate at the store. Total bummer.

@mariyadessa - It didn't always have a window. This room was originally part of the back porch but a previous owner closed it in, making it a closet and installed glass block on that wall. When we bought the house my dad + my husband turned the space into an office for me and removed the glass block to put in a window.

thanks andrec!

I made the "you are loved" artwork using a Shanna Murray decal (http://shannamurray.bigcartel.com/), a small chalkboard, and some grosgrain ribbon. Super easy!

Thank you so much everyone!

The elephant is made by Color Zoo. I found him inexpensively on eBay, but you can also find him on Amazon as well.

The box inserts for the expedit are also from IKEA. They're called prant.

Thanks!

The light fixture was a thrift store find that was spruced up with some yellow paint.

The changing mat is the 30" 4 Sided Changing Pad made by LA Baby and it works great even though it says it has a width of 16".

Thank you all so much for your kind words about Atti's little room! It really warms my heart!

The curtains were made by a family member with Premier Prints ZigZag Village fabric in the blue/natural.

The artwork was all found on Etsy. The crying print is from Sycamore Street Press and can be found here: http://www.etsy.com/people/sycamorestreetpress

The paint color is Behr's Light French Gray.
