We have one hung on the back of our little coat closet that holds things like small umbrellas, the GPS, transit maps, sunglasses, hats, scarves, sunscreen, etc. It is very handy. 8 Other Uses for a Shoe Organizer |

Most cats hate the feel of tin foil on their feet so just put a piece where you don't want the cat. The first time our cat jumped up on our "good" couch (he is allowed on the other couch) and felt the tin foil he almost did a backflip to get off of it. It is a cheap and easy solution and the legs of our couch are hidden so we just stuffed the tin foil under the couch when we were not using it. It has been a few years and he still does not get on that one couch. A Less Shabby Slipcover Solution? Good Questions |

Lindsclou - I was actually at the class. You can use eggshells and coffee grounds in the method discussed in the article. One of the pamphlets they handed out included directions for fruit fly traps using apple cider vinegar and detergent. They also suggested that freezing your fruit scraps would keep the fruit flies down and you can add the scraps to the bin frozen. The worms do the work so you do not have to turn the mixture.
