I'm pretty sure the color is Behr Poppy Seed. It's one of my favorite paint colors right now. In some lights it looks like a dark blue, in others it's almost black. Beautiful color. Look at the second door down: What Color Is This House? Good Questions |

I have been living in Seattle for about 6 months and have really struggled to make friends. It's such a relief to hear that I'm not the only one. In my hometown I was very connected with the art community and had an amazing set of friends. While I stay in touch with most of them and love to meet up with them in whatever city they are in at the time I miss having friends close by. I miss meeting up for coffee and hitting all the junk/thrift shops looking for treasures with a friend. I have lived other places that have been tough, but seattle is different. Seattle is like a friendship tease. There is no shortage of creative, interesting people whom I would love to be friends with. On the contrary, I am constantly meeting amazing people here with similar interests. Unfortunately, it always goes down the same way. We say we should really hang out, but in the end they have other plans or don't get my message until too late. I have high hopes for the Seattle meetup. My boyfriend and I dated long distance (NE and MI) for almost two years when we first met. One of the ways we were able to feel close even when we were 700 miles apart was to take a nightly shot together either on the phone, with facetime, or just through text messaging. There were MANY times when the shot was just water, but some times one of us was out at a bar or had friends over and it was a way the other could feel included. We have lived together for a few years now and although we are both quite minimalist in our decorating style we have amassed quite a collection of shot glasses from the places we have traveled.
