I've had a Metro shelf in my kitchen for about twenty years. It's held up well--no problems. But it does get dusty and I've had to put a sheet of clear plastic under my cookbooks to keep them from slipping through between the rungs. And you can't hide things behind the books!

Custards in crème brule, ice cream, and flan. All recipes warn about overcooking so I think I end up under cooking. I can never tell when it is supposed to be done.

Great effort! But I wonder if some of the items put back on the shelf could have been tossed out. For example anything expired, or the older jar of a duplicate spice could be discarded.
