I actually just posted the other day on how we have successfully composted our gDiapers and saved over 3,000 diapers from the landfill. And WE live n the city! Elements Naturals: World's First Fully Compostable Diapers |

This is a FANTASTIC post. I never would have considered it an issue until a few years ago when my continuously-slathered-with-SPF-50+ MIL got into our brand new Volvo and promptly smeared white, sticky sunscreen all over the dark brown leather seats! It was a nightmare to get out and there was really nothing out there on the web that I could find at the time to point me in the right direction. Protecting Your House from Sunblock |

Honestly, for us, the best baby proofing was our son smushing his fingers in the drawers a few times. As new parents, we tried everythin to keep it from happening and inevitably it happened a few times and then one day I noticed that he would close drawers purposefully holding his fingers away from the drawer fronts. That was when he was around 9 months old...he's never squished a finger since and he just turned two. How To Babyproof Dresser Drawers Good Questions |

We showered with our son until he was 6 months old and after that we used a bathmat in the bathtub. Not worth the extra cost for another tub that will only get used until the kid can sit up. I have a friend who put her baby in the Bumbo in the tub if that's more your style. Space-Saving Bath Tubs Good Questions |

They're Nursin' Smart bottles are GENIOUS for babies with reflux. The tactile feel of them is something my son's therapist still talks about to this day. The bottles are medical grade silicone and collapse onto themselves as your child drinks from it, getting the same bubble-free results as if using a drop-in bottle...only without the year of disposing drop-ins in the trash! I just wanted to pipe in and say how validated I feel now that I know I'm not the only one who not only relies on the TV in moments like this...but on full-out TV (in our case, Elmo) marathons. On Keeping Little Ones Happy When Parents Have The Plague |

YAY!! We love Magic Beans and are so excited to see them featured here. Their customer service is amazing. The day before I had to go on a long car ride with my 5 month old, I rushed in to get a convertible car seat. It was pouring out and I was parked really far away, but the clerk followed me out to my car with multiple seats to check them and see which option was best. I will never forget that. My son grew out of his Chicco Key Fit at 4.5 months. He is very tall and most of his length is in his torso so the straps actually weren't long enough! We got the Britax Boulevard because it was the best convertible option for us...but you should figure out what works best for your car and your baby.
