I used to work at Radio Shack in the '80's and sold those Brick style phones (just like in the lead photo). Still have the one I bought. Always worked where I live. Something my new phones(s) cant duplicate at times!

But ones its setup, do you ever adjust the displays again? If it sits there and hold them in the right angle, it gets the job done. that have another model for $20 more:

Instead of heating the gararge itself, a commercially made block heater might be a better choice. With the engine being warm, it will start quicker and it would have heat a lot quicker.
