Its an amazing building , I feel fortunate to be here, I have an awesome mom, that may not be as young as she is judged with the madonna comment, she has an open mind and open ears. I was already my late teens when i saw my mother had purchased madonna's 'True Blue' Album.

JulieLeanne - the tv is mounted by 2 sturdy 'L' brackets and 1/2 bolts that were mounted through the actual shelves ( like a upside-down 'L' the brackets were fist mounted to the TV the measured for mounting.

julip8 - My records and i have a love hate relationship , i really didn't want to see more records in frames ;)

justjude - The long panels that cover the alcove is for storage as well as the rest of the electronics, printer, media server, stereo amplifier, reference books etc, all within more ikea shelving and storage. The music media was by choice of profession, i need access to the library, they work well as walls to deaden the sound reflections off the hard surfaces, and they make great conversation pieces.

goodpanda - yes the TV does drive me nuts too sometimes when i actually do watch tv in the living area, i usually lay across my sofa to watch so its really not much of a head pivot. the goal was not to make it a main focal point ;)

selftaught - I think by being a dj for over 25 years (18 in actual nightclubs) should give some room to speak on your comment, it a hit or miss with djs most people that are in bands don't like djs, the dj do take a lot of the credit for plying other people music, but without the dj it would very challenging to deliver the music to the masses, in turn exposing the band or artist.

I as well produce music, altogether it much more than simply blending 2 songs together. without djs electronic music would have not evolved without the djs, this includes pioneering artists in the likes of depeche mode, kraftwerk and giorgio moroder.

Everyone else, what i was implying with the moms Madonna records comment was most people collect vinyl as a hobby, i don't , these are just tools of the trade, it a arsenal of music made for one thing only, the nightclub dance-floor. (the clubs that go to wee hours of the morning)

Thanks for your comments, any criticism is good criticism :), I'm not an interior designer, i don't spend too much effort with my space, it wasn't preconceived it just came out this way. I just wanted a clean comfortable space, that i can work and live in separately under one roof. I'm shocked and flattered that Apartment Therapy would have me on here.
