Really love your place.

Your plants look so happy and add to the warm feeling - character.

I really must know - who's the artist for the piece over your bed? It's entrancing!

Just a thought, but what if you don't want to amplify your mood but to change it or vice versa..? Are there settings for the goal of music listening?? Sometimes I want to tune out, sometimes I want energy, sometimes I want zen... how does the app know?

A tea cozy should fit the pot, not drape over it. If this rabbit fur concoction had been sewn into a shape with some lines and structure. Perhaps even a contrast to bring either elegance or humor to the look I could take it seriously...

As presented it just looks like a lazy excuse for a 'cozy'. The material is unexpected and seem odd/wrong. But, I think with some real effort to the design it has the potential to become cool.

My first glance at the image made me thing it was some sort of large medieval fur covered had with metal bits. :/

Love the wall art.
Love the new drum shade. It ties in well with the modern simple lines of all the black frames.
Love the light and airy quality of the new curtains with their punch of red.
WOULD love to see a rug as many have commented. Add floor glides under each chair leg and you've got no problem on sliding over rug surfaces of nearly any kind.

I did a quick Google to find an example, see http://www.installerstore.com/Floor-Glides.html

The bookcase just looks like freestanding bits of wood - four of which are painted.

The geometric wall art is rather cool. I bet it could be done with yarn and dress pins instead... Easy way to go for a bright pop of color without paint.

which (if any) of these has a mouth piece designed to drink directly from? that's the Big Deal to me - and why I still purchase plastic bottles full of water. sure I recycle them, but I'd much prefer to have a bottle I know is BPA free to drink from directly. as a creature of habit, I have definitely found this aspect key. if I can carry it around and drink directly from it - awesome, I will. but having to find and pour into a glass (which inevitably is inconvenient to hold and carry with me to meetings, the car, etc) well - that's the deal breaker.

so - which of these is best for weirdo form factor picky people..???

If the looks fits with your decor - I think it's a brilliant idea for someone with wood floors, or simply a quirky aesthetic.

If it won't fit the look of your home most large hardware stores sell thick felt with a sticky side for putting under furniture legs... I use that. It works great. :)

1) The shape of our living room severely limits TV placement. It is essentially a large corridor because the front doors are double French with sidelights and the parallel 'wall' is a LARGE double sliding door on to the dining room. There's only one continuous wall left and it faces a bank of floor to nearly ceiling windows that take up 2/3 the space. This leaves us with essentially one corner available for our TV. It's less than ideal, but I see no better solution.
2) My couches are an ivory white color and my partner insists on eating in the living room. I'm ready to kill him over the next stain causing another round of hand wash or steam cleaning. The set is relatively new and was expensive. I love it. Perhaps TV tables would help..?
3) We desperately need new draperies, however I have not yet decided on color nor actioned repainting the living room... this one hangs on me. :(

I'd have to agree with Janet Brandt here.

The size is so small that the only demographic likely to be interested cannot afford the rent. $1200 a month for a rental is pretty steep - especially for a space that could only realistically accommodate one adult.

I lived in SF in the 90s and loved it... but we paid $1500 for a studio, THEN. Sadly, I think the city is going downhill. The character that makes all of the various neighborhoods so interesting and fun - will they still have people IN them in ten or twenty years at these prices? :(

I have to disagree about Facetime. It is SO awesome for keeping in touch with people who are far away.

My partner is out of the country about half the year. With Facetime we can have a real conversation. Plus, we can show off our latest projects live. So I know if he really does like the color I painted the dining room - facial expressions are helpful! :)

As for the rest I reckon you're right. I'd never even heard of Siri.....

I am hopeful that the mobile wallet will take off over time. It hasn't even made an appearance in this country yet. But, given time I think it will take hold and be awesome.

The fabric is the most important part with regard to the cats.
NO leather. You'll lose that battle.
Felt seems a bad choice.
Velvet would be hard to keep clean.

The best I have found, and I have three cats, is a tight woven flat fabric. My couches are an ivory white and stay lovely. They are treated with stain resistance and cleaning them does require doing it properly. However, I've done just fine on my own by being sure to do a complete surface with every clean (or the whole couch). You definitely can't spot clean. But doing just a whole arm or the seat surface, etc. works fine.

As for style - it's so personal. I think that it absolutely has to be something you both like the look of and that will not attract cat hair like a magnet...

To stop the scratching you need to train your cats. It's ridiculous to put up with that behavior. You can get claw caps. You can also try various repellant devices; sprays with odor they dislike, noise / shock collar. etc. I know shock collar sounds drastic, but they make them specifically for cats now to train them to stay away from certain areas. You can set the area of activation to be pretty small.

Anywho. Hope you find what you're looking for.

have to agree. 100+ square is pretty big...

Our kitchen is within a five or so square feet of this 'small' cool kitchen... and I (and my friends) always considered it quite large.

size aside. this is a beautiful space that appears really well laid out with a nice sleek style and great lighting plan.

Lovely. And just totally in awe of your moxie with giving up the full size fridge. I so want to do that for our kitchen.... but we simply have no where to put a dedicated freezer.

Really a cheery and well done space!

Someone mentioned, much more diplomatically, the single flaw that makes me cringe in this kitchen. The waste bin has 'pride of place' under the window... a pull out system would be such a boon. I promise you'd love it. Both functionally and visually...'

Otherwise. Spot on for function and aesthetic appeal.
