'Kay, I know I'm pretty slow on the draw, but I just stumbled on this awesome jewel of a recipe, AND i'm in the middle of a muffin-kick!

Question: Anyone tried any non-glutinous flours for this recipe? I'm not averse to oat flour, but there's got to be something else to use besides all-purpose...

And may I reiterate: Mango and coconut? Genius!

Wow. For how much these are "in" right now, I'm really surprised at all the nays! These bulbs, just like anything else in decor, have good ways to use them and bad ways to use them.

1- Like others said before me, LOW WATTAGE is a must (less than 40w for me).

2- These bulbs aren't really meant to light up a whole room, just give a pleasant, warm glow.

3- Efficiency is sort of a moot point for me here, because these aren't the kind of bulbs I would use in a light fixture that's going to be on all the time.

Also, once again, incandescent bulbs aren't going to be banned! Just the older-style, general-purpose (less-efficient) models. Look it up. (Unless you live in California- they'll ban anything!)

I use a squirrel-cage bulb on a swag-style fixture with a dimmer as my night-lite; best thing ever! I also have a similar bulb in a small desk lamp on our landing strip next to the front door. It puts out just enough light to see your keys and sort through mail.

Stylistically, I think these bulbs are/can-be awesome if used appropriately. These take me back to a time when both form and function had nearly-equal status in mass-produced consumer goods. I wish these were called "Tesla-style bulbs", though. ;)

Ummm...so if we don't have a friend who welds, then we're screwed if we want to make this table?! I don't know if this helpful "tip" was worthy of its own space, AT...

I found a small 6-drawer unit at an antique store, put some simple legs on it and use it as a side table for the living room. The drawers are PERFECT for remotes and coasters.

The larger card catalogs would definitely stretch the imagination for usefulness, though there's just something about them I love...the library feel, maybe? Idk.

It's funny how "reclaimed" wood seems to be $1 billion more than regular wood. I guess you're really just paying for the texture..

Nice pics! The darker grout seems to have an antique-ish appeal, whereas the white grout looks fantastic in a modern-styled (contemporary, i mean) space.

On a similar note, the other day I saw that Lowe's has matte-finish subway tiles-- anyone have any thoughts on these? Or any good images? It's hard to picture in my mind the difference the finish would make...

@Fancywaffles- Haven't heard any insults here, only opinions. ;)

Besides, IMO if you're not from Texas and haven't been around the state, all you have to go on are stereotypes, y'know? I bet one could apply this logic to any state, but I think Texas has more widely-known stereotypes...

I would love a wide angle lens for my Oly EPL2, but they're sooo expensive! Almost as much as the camera itself cost new. I got a Polaroid wide-angle extender off Amazon which works surprisingly well, but it is what it is (cheap). I'll keep saving.

Puck- That was the first camera that came to mind when I read "colorful.." ! I know it doesn't matter when evaluating cameras as photographic tools, but it's really nice when there are other colors besides black and painted-on plastic silver. I think that's one reason why people like the cheap plastic cameras now, 'cause you can customize to your heart's content and not risk messing up $100s worth of electronics.

I have a set of ear buds from UrbanEars that is cloth-covered from the jack to the split, and I have NO more issues with tangles. Also, heat shrink tubing is pretty easy to apply to headphone cords... That stuff is like $3.50 a bag at a hardware store.

My wife and I have had a medium-stiffness latex mattress for about 5 years now. It WILL stain; don't let anyone tell you it won't. However, I don't look at the bare mattress very often, and I NEVER WANT TO SLEEP ON ANYTHING ELSE EVER! This mattress is sooo comfortable! As yet, no hills and valleys have developed...

I have an Oly EPL-2 and my autoWB works great! I almost never take it off that, unless I'm trying to get "creative" or "artsy" or whatever.

Fluorescents ARE pretty weird to shoot under, but my auto WB usually does a pretty good job of compensating. If the fluorescent light takes up a large portion of the image or there's a lot of fluorescent glare, I start getting pink/blue/red spots, which means autoWB isn't working enough.

I agree with the premise that 99% of the time, AWB is the ticket!

Phoenix- Yes, you could do this (def change to CMYK) BUT your image will print out smaller in physical size, so it depends on how big you want your picture to be for framing or whatever-- 4x6, 8x10...etc. At a constant pixel dimension, increasing the dpi will get you a smaller printed-out image. If you're going to want your iPhone picture printed out to a larger size, then the dpi will decrease as a matter of course- no getting around that. You might have to print out several different versions to see which size *looks* the best to you.

You DO want to check the "Resample Image" box on your original image file, tho, so that Photoshop doesn't resize the image permanently while you're playing around with it.

Nightstands With Enough Storage To Control Clutter

I usually store non-soft cheese in a layer or two of wax paper, then in a plastic bag. This will keep it mold-free for a couple of weeks to a month. Putting a paper towel in the plastic bag (outside the wax paper) helps control moisture if storing for a couple weeks longer than a month. Long-LONG term, the freezer works best for me, but I don't think I've ever had to do that but once...cheese goes fast in my house!

You also might check the humidity settings for your fridge, might be something weird.

@GERUNDGIRL- a year back, the only place I could find with a decent array of camera's in-store was Fry's electronics in Wilsonville (there's one in Renton WA, too).

Anyway, if you're looking to get into an interchangeable lens camera, I second the idea that THE LENS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTORS UP FRONT. A very very very close second is the position of the buttons and ease of use of the interface. I nixed the Sony NEX cameras because the lenses made them too bulky for me, the software was too cumbersome navigating around, and I just didn't like the way it felt (too unbalanced IMO).

When deciding what camera to buy, write a list of 3 or 4 characteristics (ie, pocket size, interchangeable lens, cost, etc) This list will pretty much determine what half-a-dozen cameras you should be focusing on. There's so many to choose from these days! Cnet is an EXCELLENT resource for this.

And this article brings up a really really good point: invest the most in a camera/system that you will/can have with you at all times easily. Otherwise, what's the point?
