Loving the box ottomon. Mustard yellow is my favorite color to decorate with. I keep little splashes of it all over the house, mixed with neutral whites, dark greys, and blacks, and the occasional navy blue. A few weeks ago I was at Restoration Hardware and spotted the most beautiful yellow sofa. Unfortunately for me, if I were to purchase it I'm sure one of my cats would purposely barf on the upholstry as soon as I got it delivered, just like they do with everything else I love...

I just purchased the DIODER lights from Ikea for this reason a week ago, and I just couldn't get them to work with my closets. I installed properly but every time I shut the closet door I could see under the door frame that the light kept turning on and off, instead of shutting off after 15 seconds and then only turning back on when I opened the door. I thought maybe it was a faulty one so I bought another to test out, and even tried them in other closets and still had the same problem. Has anyone encountered this? I emailed them and they said it sounds like a defect, however I bought two seperate ones so it seems odd. Would love some feedback because they did offer "warm" light and were perfect for my closets

my brother goes on tour with his band a few times a year and so his dog gets to go to grandmas house! My parents love it and bring him to the pet store to pick out a new toy and treat of his choice, and he gets lots of snuggles. Sometimes when my brother works a double the dog will go to grandmas so he isn't alone all day. Not the same situation but my parents love having a "part-time" dog and my brother feels better knowing his dog is always taken care of

I just moved into a new apartment over the weekend and while loading the built in bookshelf in the wall with my books I realized it was actually a secret door! Goes into a huge storage space.

my heart is weeping at how perfect your place is. The bedroom! The nursery! Those floors! Everything is so put together but cozy enough that I want to jump into the pictures and live in them. One of my favorite house tours by far.

I've read everyone's responses and to be honest, I think you should just paint it. The color mock-up is beautiful and as for it not looking "natural" the stonewall doesn't look natural at all. At the very least you are subduing it. I do agree with others that you should use a special masonry paint to get the job done, and this of course shouldn't be an end result but simply something for now until you can afford to have the stone removed in the future. Good luck and keep us posted with what you decide to do!
