I worked in a rail yard for a couple of summers. The tresle and the ties are both coated. And when I say coated, it is a giant brush out of a giant pail and laid on as thick as you could get it. I would not have anything made from a railway in or around my house. Have you ever seen a broken one? Black from the inside out. Is Reclaimed Wood Safe? Good Questions |

3$ a gallon I would kill for that price. In Canada we pay almost 7$. I buy organic non-homo and it cost me 3.50 for a litre. Food prices are always a lot cheaper in the US. Mac and Cheese: The Secret to Making It Rich and Creamy |

Yup, I'm on the East Coast in Canada and the closest Ikea is a 14 hour drive!!!! Yikes..... but someone here makes Ikea runs, 20% fee for shipping on pre-tax value. Which is fabulous, since we had a flood and lost alot... including all my Expedit shelving. Sooooooooo worth the 46$ it cost me to have 2 shelving units shipped :) .... Never hurts to check to see if someone in your city does the same thing. Good News for Long Distance (or Store Avoiding!) IKEA Fans |

Easier way to fill, is not to fill the whole thing at once. Fill one end with the proper tip, then fill the other end. But spreadind and filling would not result in the same thing, and you spread would melt cause you have to roll the cookie as soon as it comes out of the oven. My mum used an "old wives tales" and put a cork under my dad's pillow, haven't heard a thing since. Same for my hubby, he makes ALL KINDS of weird sleeping noises and snores as well. Cork in his pillow, very rare do I hear him now. Cost us the bottle of wine, which we drank :) Don't Lose Sleep Over It: A Guide to Surviving Snoring |

Cheesecake. Use your regular recipe in a springform that fits in the cooker. Put a ring of foil at the bottom to elevate the pan. Cover the WHOLE pan in foil, very important. Place a couple of dish towels o er the top to absorb extra moisture, so you do t have soggy crust. Then place on the cover and let cook for 6 hours. Perfect cheesecake!! I have a beagle and a black lab that were there before we had my son. We were always planning on having kids so while my dogs were pups I poked and prodded them, pulled their tails, ears, and fur. I did everything I though a baby would do. How A Dog Trainer Kept Our Kids And Dog Safe & Happy |

I actually had a fireman cometo one of my playgroups. By the time the smoke hits the alarm, way above out sleeping heads, we're practically gone. Same for carbon monoxide. You should have it at floor level. By the time the co2 alarms rings above your head you've already inhaled more than enough to pass out. Then even it it does ring, you're out cold and cannot do anything about it. The Chick-a-Dee: A Design-y Smoke Alarm for Kids Rooms |

I agree, although beautiful to look at I would never use it. Both my father and I have worked on the railway and I wouldn't even use old ties as a retaining wall in my yard. It has so many chemicals in it it's disgusting. The amount of tar that is used to coat them is ridiculous. I think I'll pass on this. Wine Storage From Antique Railroad Supplies |
