my house is needing some major curing right now (it looks great until you open a closet . . . or a cabinet, or a sideboard, or a dresser) so I'm definitely gonna be there! Apartment Therapy - The Fall Cure: Starts Next Monday! |

I usually find that weekday evenings are good for getting together large groups, people are less likely to have plans. A park sounds good, or a bar? Good Questions: Design Get-Togethers? |

Also - about the pegboard - we have it all over our kitchen (it came with the place) and I LOVE it. When we moved in I was skeptical that we'd actually use it, but it has been such a great thing - with limited/awkward cabinet space and practically no drawers at all it allows all of our pots and pans to be up on the wall as well as things like potholders, tongs, measuring cups, measuring spoons, juicer, colander, grease shield, etc. It totally rocks. So beautiful *and* functional - such amazing attention to detail. Which is especially important in a small space. It's also manages to be very modern but really classic, not the kind of kitchen you'll walk into twenty years from now and say "Oh man, this is so 2000's." I think this is a great idea, but maybe could be organized by neighborhood? (I'm in Oakland, for example, and while I don't mind going into San Francisco, I notice that people don't love coming out to Oakland.) Good Questions: Design Get-Togethers? |

IKEA used to make a table almost exactly like this. No clue if they still do or not, but I clearly remember it. Flip Card Table |

anyone have a recommendation for a simple white shower curtain that doesn't need a liner? I love CB2's canvas shower curtain (http://www.cb2.com/family.aspx?c=476&f=3283) but called customer service who said they strongly recommend using a liner with it, and I just hate having a curtain and a liner. I'm open to synthetic but it would be nice if it doesn't look "synthetic." Thanks! Open Thread 422 |

This is great, but does anyone have advice for scales that are super accurate and look good? I currently have the Sharper Image glass scale (http://tinyurl.com/37tlv9) which is nice looking and blends in well to the bathroom, but several years down the road it's having some major accuracy problems. You can weigh yourself, walk out of the room, come back in, and get a reading that's 2lbs different. Ahh! It drives me crazy! Top 10: Bathroom Scales |
