This is so strange, you invite people to come to your house, some of them arrive hungry so you send them out to buy their own pizza but expect them to come back for drinks? Maybe it's just the culture I was raised in, but guests are supposed to be treated with as much generosity as possible. I would be mortified if any of my friends felt like they had to get take out on their way from my home The Un-Dinner Dinner Party: How Much Food Should You Prepare? |

I've been making the two ingredient pizza dough lately (flour and yogurt) and it's pretty good. Not the 'best' dough, but a great idea if it's freezing outside, you have a craving for homemade pizza, and don't have any yeast in the house. On occasion I have mixed in some sourdough starter to boost flavor, but that still counts as flour right? ;) The Appeal of Two-Ingredient Recipes: Have You Tried One Yet? |

If you really want to 'nose to tail' a lemon use the zest in your recipe, squeeze out the juice and freeze or use for something else, and turn the pith (white part) into pectin for jam making. It will have a bitter little kick so pair with something sweet like strawberries. What Can I Do With a Zested Lemon?Good Questions |

Who in the world voted for Ketel One? Just drink rubbing alcohol instead. Green Mark vodka is the best, and doesn't leave you with a hangover. And a nice little bit of Bitter Truth Creme de Violette as an aperetif. Our Readers' Favorite Brands of Liquor Reader Intelligence Report |

I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned this, just dip the bottom of the glass in a small bowl of very hot water. The glass heats up and softens the wax enough to remove it without any melting, goo or residue. Oops! Never Put Candle Holders in the Dishwasher! |

Hi, I think this a great idea as vegans very rarely get the limelight and it would be great to see some original recipes for dinner dishes that don't revolve around ratatouille or stir fry or some sort. Here's my recipe for vegan lemon meringue pie Welcome To Vegan Week at The Kitchn! |

So wierd that some people have such a strong reaction to these little things! I served these at an all black food dinner recently and everyone loved them. The taste is really mild and kind of chalky, nothing like the medicinal charcoal biscuits you can buy in a pharmacy. Some Black with Your Blue?
