I saw this post 10 minutes ago and immediately "adopted" a turkey. It made me feel instantly good I think I will do this every year from now on. Thanks for the post!

A Thanksgiving Turkey for Vegetarians

I made this last night for a formal dinner party and it was a big hit!I used quite a bit more cheese and added a lb of vegetarian goetta (Cincinnati meat) to the mushroom mix. I'm not sure there would have been enough filling without it...but maybe to double the shrooms and chard would work also? Thank you!

I made these last week as written and they were great. I did substitute dried cranberries for the raisins and used Holland walnut gouda. Next time I make them, I might add another 1/2 apple because the flavor only came through a little bit...or maybe a tart apple like granny smith would work well. Thank you! @ saucefiend, I think you could bake them in a tin that way, but they are really more soft than granola like. Not crunchy at all.

Quick One-Bowl Recipe: Apple Gouda Oatmeal Cookies

I made this last night and was a little hesitant, but it turned out great! Really, I just tried it to see if it would work. It did take just as long as stove top and my bowl got incredibly hot, so I had to let it cool down a bit between some of the intervals. However, I am a macaroni and cheese fanatic and I LOVED the texture....almost cafeteria style (some might not like). Maybe this would be good if you were in a hotel or if something was wrong with your stove? Not sure, but it works. I also cut the salt by half based on other comments.

YES!!! This is mind blowing for me as I have never heard or known there was a "name" for this. Since my childhood and to this day hearing people chew food at the table has at times given me full blown anxiety attacks and rage. I've tried to explain this to others and no one takes it very seriously. I can not believe there is a known condition...Thank you for this post. I don't feel as crazy!!!
