I am 28 years old, but not afraid to admit that every morning before work I eat a bowl of cereal in front of the TV and watch cartoons... just like I did as a kid :D

Where Do You Eat Your Breakfast?

I don't think this would work for me either. It's very humid where I live and my apartment faces the setting sun! It gets really hot here at least in the summer months. I might be able to pull it off in the winter, but I go through about 6 liters of milk a week!

I also agree with directornikki: having to drive to the market every few days is a waist of time and fuel. I supposed if you lived right by a market and could walk it would different, but what if you have to drive half way across town, and don't get me started on not having the time, lol.

I really wish I could eat rice. It's a texture thing for me I think, but it's in sooo many dishes and restaurants always have it on the side and I wish I could learn to like it.

Also, I am with people on the eggs. I have never been able to eat them and also hate the smell, but at least they are easier to stay away from and I am just fine with pancakes, waffles or crepes when I go out for breakfast. Yum.

My favorite thing to grill is salmon, but I'm a B.C. girl so I practically live off the stuff.

I agree fully that exercise and portion control are very important. That along with eating a balanced array of foods from every food group are the three most important things for sure.

One thing that I have found to help me, personally, lose a lot of weight was just making sure I was getting enough fiber. I was never a fan of bran (lame rhyme) and as a result I had some health issues. Ever since I started eating high fiber cereals my weight has been steady at 120 lbs (I'm 5'3"), and I'm pretty sure that's normal for my size.

If you hate exercising like I do, then dance classes might help too. I take belly dancing and bhangra; that way I am getting a workout without really noticing. Belly dance is great for your self esteem too because it's one place where a jiggle is a bonus! I also find hiking has helped me, and I go once a week weather permitting... :D
