Oooh. I love congee. I make mine with brown rice and sweet potatoes though. Topped with fried garlic chips, cilantro, and sriracha this is some seriously yummy food. I am moving in a few weeks and have been given permission to paint the new place any color I desire. The hot pink in the bedroom just isn't cutting it presently, so with this great gift certificate I thought a lovely warm tone would both make the space look bigger and would infuse lightness into my new Berkeley digs... I live in Santa Cruz presently, and after a rain shower the trees let off this vapor that I had never seen when down in San Diego. The mist is strangely beautiful. The scent in the air is glorious as well. Can't beat the Northwest (of California!). I hope that there will be this type of beauty once I move to Berkeley. Thank goodness I still spend about half of my time in Southern California, in Sunny San Diego. Nor Cal may be where I attend school, but the warmer climate down south has my heart. Speaking of, so does this incredible living room set. I loove Ikea and I loooove AT so what is better than to get such a lovely present from both. So cool.
